For many years I have been able to support the development of children and youth with various deficits and developmental disorders. In my work as an educationalist and therapist, I encountered problems connected with early and correct diagnosis and, thus, with implementation of optimal support methods for children and youth development. I have referred to these mattes on numerous occasions in my publications and papers delivered at scientific conferences. I have employed my knowledge during my work for the Polish Society of Dyslexia, Education and Development in Luxembourg (which I founded in 2010), Luxembourg Society “Dyspel”, European School, work in nurseries and in cooperation with different institutions in Luxembourg, Poland and Europe.
Sharing experience as well as working on support of child and youth development became the objectives of my actions. My work with children and, at the same time, numerous observations collected during therapy of children (including dyslexic, autistic children and children with Asperger’s syndrome) showed how important the knowledge of child development stages is. This knowledge constitutes a basis for development of therapeutic programs which cannot be “universal”. There are no specific instructions to follow for particular diseases. Each child is an individual patient, a common feature is neither the age or deficit type. In order to meet the challenges posed by the task of preparation of individual stimulation programs, the therapist needs to have sufficient knowledge on the topic of child development and disorders of particular cognitive fields. This means the necessity to understand matters from different disciplines as a therapist of a child with developmental disorders requires integration of information from numerous fields of science.
For this reason, on the basis of my own experience and knowledge, I decided to initiate and establish the “IQ Academy” in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
An Academy the main aim of which is education, diagnosis and therapy of children and youth as well as support of development. The support of parents, future mothers as well as persons who would like to learn foreign languages (French, German, English, Spanish) with a Tomatis Method. The classes are conducted in groups or individually.
The belief in potential and talent in each child allows the IQ Academy to support their development because:
“Every child wants to be good,
If they can't do something - teach them,
If they don’t know something - explain it,
If they are unable to do something - help them”.
“When a child smiles, the whole world smiles”
